Limited edition of 550 copies, this is #164, signed by Ouimet. Printed at the Riverside Press Cambridge. 8vo. 273 pages. Spine is sunned slightly. The book has the rare original red slipcase present. The slipcase is a bit tattered and has tape along one edge, however, the presence of the slipcase itself brings great value to this copy. Ouimet as an amateur won the 1913 U.S. Open at the Country Club in Brookline, MA where he defeated two stars of his era Harry Vardon and Ted Ray. Donovan & Murdoch 28460. Murdoch 580.D&J O6310. Ouimet would go on to receive a rare honor for an American - he served as Captain of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews.
