September 22, 1981. Place of issue Pinehurst, N.C. Commemorative stamp & envelope celebrating Bobby Jones career. Bobby Jones was only 25 and had just received a trophy for winning the 1927 U.S. Amateur tournament. Between 1923 and 1920 the name Bobby Jones was synonymous with record-breaking golf.
