Painting has always been part of Willingtons life. An engineering career took him from South Wales to the Middle East, South America and West Africa over many years. On his return from overseas he was commissioned to produce a painting for one of the public rooms at the Old Course Hotel, St. Andrews. This became a stepping stone into the world of golf in America culminating in a studio in Augusta, Georgia, home of the Master’s Tournament and him setting up a publishing company to supply a demand for golfing artwork. Commissions followed from a regional Georgia bank to produce sixteen paintings on a theme of ”The History of Augusta”. Twelve paintings are on permanent loan to the Museum of History in Augusta. This is a rare image of Augusta National Golf Club, clubhouse. This is a canvas giclee print. Stretched and ready to be framed.
